| BROADWAY PLAZA’S AMC CINEMA NOW SCREENING 3D FILMS | |
Broadway Plaza’s AMC cinema has introduced digital 3D projection to one of its screens, providing the city’s moviegoers with the latest in cinema technology.
The technology was launched this week with a screening of Monsters vs Aliens, a 1950s-style sci-fi adventure featuring loveable monsters and evil alien overlords told in computer-animated 3D.
Cinema manager Miguel Sanchez said customers had flocked to the cinema to try out the new 3D equipment, which is made by USA-based Real D, the world leader in 3D technology.
“We’ve had a fantastic response from our customers and we’re not surprised,” he said.
“Monsters vs Aliens has such high definition that it’s easy to think you are actually in the film yourself.
“Customers have also been particularly impressed with the eye wear. We hand out slick black plastic glasses rather than the old cardboard ones.”
