The first ever Birmingham Suit Amnesty successfully took place on Friday 12th October 2007.
37 organisations from acrossd the city took part, including Mills & Reeve, Wragge & Co, Barclays Wealth, Deloittes and many more. All in all 723 suits were collected throughout the day in Hall 6 at the ICC in Birmingham.
Throughout the day a number of charities visited the ICC to lay claim to their chosen suits including St Basils, WAITS and Turning Point.
From 07.30 - 17.00 volunteers from Mail Wash travelled around the city collecting suits from the various companies before dropping them off at the ICC where a group of merry helpers sorted, tagged and racked the suits.
