GRABBING A PIZZA THE ACTION

More than 30 children from a City school recently descended on the kitchens of Frankie & Benny’s to create pizza’s to celebrate St George’s Day.

The children – from the appropriately named St George’s School in Edgbaston – visited the restaurant at Broadway Plaza to create the pizzas using toppings to create the St George’s flag, as well as other flags from around the world, representing the multicultural diversity of Birmingham and the school.

Arthur Webb, centre manager of Broadway Plaza, said: “The kids had a fantastic morning designing flags, including the St George of course, using pizza toppings.

“They also learned about the different cultures of their classmates at school.

“The most enjoyable part of the morning definitely seemed to be the kids eating their creations – no sooner as the pizza’s were served up they were gone!”
